Bob Stamegna Who Cares UK Founder

In 2016, my daughter was born with a rare genetic condition called Costello Syndrome. While this has been a life changing experience, she was also my inspiration to retrain as a health coach and personal trainer. As someone who has always pursued a health lifestyle, with a lifelong passion for food and nutrition, studying to become a professional health coach was a natural career progression.  Especially as I could see how easy it could be to ignore my own health needs while caring for my daughter.  Her needs, especially as a newborn, were extraordinarily demanding.  I now devote my skills to helping other people make the best possible health choices for themselves in their journey to wellness.  Making and maintaining good choices for myself helped not only me – they helped my daughter and partner immeasurably as well.

I have built a successful company called Integrated Health and Fitness. We serve both individuals and corporate clients. I also have the pleasure of working collaboratively with Liva Healthcare, a market leader in digital health coaching services.

As a health coach, my key areas of expertise include: understanding the needs of the individual; building their confidence for change; and, providing support every step of the way to achieve those changes.

Who Cares UK is my way of giving back, in some small way, to the community that provided such amazing support to me as a parent these past three years. My observation, having met so many other parents and carers during that time, is that they all are remarkable in providing for the ones they care for; they simply haven’t made the time for self-care a priority. Hopefully, Who Cares UK can help them find small ways to make a big difference to their overall wellbeing.

Simon Fraser - Chairman Board of Trustees

My background is mainly in theatre and music as a performer and composer. Using drama as a basis, I have led workshops with businesses, looking at building confidence, presentation skills and team dynamics. I also have experience of working with children with special needs, including within the Health Service. I have also had previous involvement in the charitable sector, raising funds for a young people’s theatre in North London and other projects. This brought me into contact with numerous grant-giving organisations and gave me a greater understanding of how charities operate and approach their philanthropy.  Who Cares UK has been set up to address a significant and often overlooked need. My hope is that, as a trustee, I can help Who Cares UK develop to be in a position to give comprehensive support to the many parents and carers who so evidently would benefit from our assistance.

Lee Ingram - Trustee

I specialise in tutoring children from the age of 5 to 16 who find themselves falling behind at school where the system may not be able to cope with their particular set of circumstances, whether it be physical, developmental or social. I got involved with this sector of education as my own two children were at opposite ends of the educational spectrum with my daughter suffering from Dyslexia and struggling to my Son who was a high achiever but very often bored at school.

I met my husband when we were both involved in musical Theatre production for Young Variety Club of Great Britain and took a particular interest in our development of Children’s care homes and Hospital Special Care Baby units.

In my younger days I was a keen and proficient Ice Dancer and in later life a keep fit instructor. I am a keen gym goer and particularly enjoy dancing.
